I’m absolutely certain I’ve seen that silhouette! I did a quick run through my photos but only found the Conestoga wagon and oxen outside Council Grove, and a collection of cattle around a water trough near Battle Canyon in Scott County. I’ll have to look more closely tonight. I love that you caught some iridescence — it’s so beautiful. I hope it’s not as hot up there as it is here, or — if it is so hot — that your humidity’s not so bad!

The silhouette is about a mile off the blacktop between Brookville and Glendale, not far from where I live. I would love to get out to Battle Canyon, my mom was born on a farm outside of Shallow Water in Scott county. A good trip for cooler days!
Yes we’re hot and have some wind and less humidity, but it’s still hot and miserable.
