Finally the hot dry days of August are behind us. It’s okay that August went fast – it was too hot! Cooler days and nights in the 60’s, a good time to drive up to Bennington Lake for walking and day camping.
Leaves are starting to turn red and yellow. Sumac and probably poison ivy.

On our way to one of our favorite backroads for an early morning walk, I saw this sunrise in my rear-view mirror.
The sky changes so quickly in only a matter of minutes.
