I really enjoy any season at the lake, but winter is (right now anyway) my favorite season. The cold days aren’t bad if you’re bundled up! There certainly is a lot less people.

The photo of the doe is my favorite, just because the frosted scenery frames her so nicely. And what fun to see an eagle! I know we have them around here, but they tend to stay a little inland, near fresh water and more wooded areas. We’re still waiting on our white pelicans. If you see those again, tell them to shake a tail feather and head south!

We’re out at the lake again today. It’s another cool windy day. I’ve only seen 2 pelicans, maybe they are headed your way.
It still amazes me when I see an eagle. When we were in Alaska they are everywhere. I was so excited to see them, but I noticed the locals weren’t as excited as me.

Thank you. So far it hasn’t been much of a winter. We are having a spell of nice weather, still enjoying hiking at the lakes. We do need moisture, just hope it doesn’t come as a snow storm!
