It’s Been A While

It’s been a while since I’ve posted, but it’s like a friend you haven’t seen in a long time and you just pick up right where you left off.  Today our adventure was one of my favorite places, Lincoln County, KS.  I love the landscape and especially the limestone, be it fence post, homes or bridges. ❤ Limestone

Lincoln County has a program that recognizes all the old schools.  Here’s a couple we saw today.

Liberty School 1893-1947

Spring Valley School 1893-1953

I love goats

What a beautiful home and barn.  Wouldn’t it be wonderful to fix this up?

Stone Arched Bridge

Huge old oak tree.  That’s Wylie sitting at the base of the tree.

Unique silo

Something I have NEVER seen……..A plane at the gas station!!

It’s good to be back with a post.  Hopefully I can get use to using a laptop instead of a desktop (as I no longer have a desktop because it quit!).  It’s been quite a learning experience for me.  I can get into all sorts of trouble on a laptop.  Touch the little touchpad the wrong way and things disappear!!  Touch the screen and it either grows big or small or disappears.  What do you use when you post?  And please don’t tell me you post on your phone!!!!!

Your photos really are great. I had to laugh at you pointing out that’s Wylie at the bottom of the tree. I don’t think I would have confused him with a cat again, but you never know!

The silo photo’s especially great. There was an old silo between Matfield Green and Cottonwood Falls that I photographed. I suppose it’s still there. I’ll have to dig through my files and see if I can find it.

Sorry about your desktop. I do all my writing on my PC. I have an iPad, but I just don’t like it for much more than adding comments. I haven’t even figured out how to post from it, and of course I can’t use it for photos. A laptop would be ok, I think, but it would have to have a little more oomph than the iPad.

One thing I did with the iPad was get a wireless keyboard that fits in the case with it. That makes typing much easier than using that on-screen keyboard. As for posting from a phone — impossible for me, since I’m still running around with a Samsung flip phone, and am perfectly happy with it!

Well, I’m a bit more progressive on phones, too funny a flip phone. Actually, I would love to go back to the old bag phone!!

Wasn’t that a beautiful silo! Beautiful tiles, there’s not many of those around. I hope you find the photo of the silo around Cottonwood. I’d love to see it.

Have a wonderful day, the weather has been so nice here, up until the last front came thru, but the chill isn’t suppose to last too long.

Guess I won’t tell you I use my phone… ha ha. What gorgeous photos. Love old school houses. That silo is so pretty. I’d really love to come see that town one of these days. Glad you’re back. I haven’t been blogging much either. Ending my 4th spiritual healing class since August. That coupled with serious writer’s block put a screeching halt on posting. How are Wylie and Mr. Farmer? Are you coming to your son’s for Christmas?
